What is a "personalized" text message?
The personalization feature allows you to easily add your subscriber's first name, last name, or email to your message body.
Here is a list of currently supported contact fields that you can add your message:
Full name
First name
Last name
Email
Contact phone number
How do personalized text messages work?
When you create a new group message and click on the"Personalize" button and select what you’d like to insert:
Pony Express HQ will automatically replace this tag with the contact name while sending the message.
Here's an example of a Personalized text message:
"Hi {{firstname}}, tonight's meeting starts at 6:30 pm | 415 Jackson St. See you tonight 🎉 The Pony Express HQ Team
Your subscriber will get the message as follows:
"Hi John, tonight's meeting starts at 6:30 pm | 415 Jackson St. See you tonight 🎉 The Pony Express HQ Team
Notice how the {{firstname}} is replaced with the first name of the contact receiving the message.
▫️ If you have contacts without the field you want to insert, provide a default placeholder text when prompted dynamically.

First name = {{firstname}}
Last name = {{lastname}}
Email = {{email}}
